The purpose of grammar teaching is to help students improve their practical ability to use the language rather than master some abstract grammar rules. Therefore, grammar teaching should allow students to grasp the grammatical form (structure) and meaning, based on the communicative use. Based on years of teaching practice and classroom observation, the author summarizes the teaching model of “Grammar, Experiencing, Experiencing and Growing” in high school English grammar. This model helps to realize the organic combination of form, meaning and use in grammar teaching and improve the effectiveness of grammar teaching.
