The Chinese Society for Plant Pathology South-South Branch Annual Conference 1994 was held in Badong County, Hubei Province on November 16-19. Representatives from the agricultural colleges and universities, agricultural research institutes (institutes), phytosanitary institutes (stations), agricultural administrative departments and grassroots agricultural extension agencies and farms in Hainan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hunan and Hubei provinces More than 130 people. The opening ceremony was announced by Professor Wang Jiguang, vice chairman of South Africa Branch, and Professor Yin Youqin, secretary-general of South-South Branch, delivered the opening speech.
