1956年文化部举办了第二届戏曲演员讲习会,由北京市、东北、中南、西南等地区选送一批主要演员参加学习;并指示部分省、市各派一名戏改干部来京参加讲习会做辅导员。我被分配到汉剧组做辅导员,不过是同演员一起学习,增长一些知识,主持一下讨论会,作些记录,汇报一下情况。那年北京正在召开党的第八次代表大会,风调雨顺,政通人和,国泰民安,莺歌燕舞,市场繁荣,物价稳定,人心欢畅,社会井然,是形势最好的一年。
