康伦中学是所名校,有上百年的校史,几次翻新扩建后,当年最初的建筑只剩下校图书馆的那幢白楼。白楼是由大块的花岗岩砌成,正门四根浮雕立柱,让图书馆看起来像宫殿一样威严。大厅两侧的展示柜陈列着康伦中学每一年的年鉴,唯独缺失了1901年的真本,只能留下遗憾的空白。康伦中学最早的年鉴记录着学校始建的原因。当年的原址曾是一片深入林地的建筑群废墟,传言藏有宝藏。康伦中学最初的创办者是为了挖宝才买下这片荒地的,可找了很久也没有什么结果。后来西学传入中国,他和他的朋友才在这里创办了康伦中学。
