The meaning of “communicative” Recently, everything has been labeled “communicative.” The published tutorials are almost always boastful and describe the book as the latest teaching material in Communication Law, telling them that “communicating” is the main purpose of the book. The papers read out by the congress all deal with the language of “communicative use.” “Communicative English Teaching” has become a recognized truth in the English teaching community by the title of an important article published in the English Teaching Journal in previous years (Widdowson, 1972). Any self-esteem teacher, textbook author or applied linguist will not treat English as anything else. However, when teachers face many confusing types of activities, they can feel obvious confusion, which is understandable. Because these activities, from practice to imitation, from dialogue to communicative games, the scope is quite broad.
