擦树在浦城山区群众又称鸭爪樟,是我国南方的速生和珍贵用材树种之一,属于樟科。落叶大乔木,高可达20余米,直径1米左右,主干明显通直,幼林期间生长非常迅速,造林四、五年,就可完全郁闭,年平均高生长达1米以上,十年后高生长不很明显,一般20年生的擦树即可成材利用。木材坚韧,具有弹性,抗力强,材质细密,并具有芬香,不受虫蛀,能耐水湿,是造船、建筑、桥樑和家俱的良好材料呤魇且恢盅粜允髦?幼林期间略喜偏阴,是深根性树种。
