我团地处噶尔盆地内的库尔班通古特大沙漠的西南边缘。这里原来是红柳、梭梭丛生,黄羊、野马奔逐的荒原古漠。千百年来一直是流沙南移,侵吞绿洲、埋没农田,严重地威胁着农、牧业生产和人民生活的改善。九一五八年在总路线、大跃进、人民公社三面红旗的指引下,我们响应毛主席“屯垦戍边”的伟大号召,继承和发扬“南泥湾”军民大生产的优良传统,怀着极天换地的雄心壮志,开进了这个亘古以来无人问津的沙海荒原,没要国家投资,自力更生,艰苦奋斗,开始了开发沙漠,建设农场的战斗。迄今十七年来,全体指战员,在毛主席的无产阶级革命路线指引下,认真学习马列主义,毛泽东思想,不断抵制
