The authors study the effectiveness and safety of radiofrequency technology in the treatment of small renal cell carcinoma in a large animal model. There were 22 lesions in the normal kidney of 7 pigs. Transdermal application of RF energy through open exposure to the kidneys or ultrasound. Changes of lesions were detected by gray scale and energy ultrasound.
