The minimum rolling thickness of the mill is a parameter that explains the mill’s ultimate rolling conditions. This paper is the result of experiment on the minimum thickness of rolled steel that can be measured on a small 20-roll mill and compared with the theoretical formula. Its purpose is to provide the basis for the design of the rolling mill and the selection of the roll diameter. The experimental method of this paper is to choose different diameters and different elastic modulus of the roll and different work hardening test materials, according to the conventional rolling method to the maximum rolling pressure repeated rolling, assuming the pass reduction rate r <2% reached The limit rolling conditions, the thickness at this time is the minimum thickness can be rolled. The result, in full compliance with the law of rolling changes. When the roll diameter is relatively large (greater than φ16mm), the measured value is close to the theoretical value.
