一般来说汽车厂商推出一款新车往往是先发布硬顶版,随后才会有敞篷款出现,而宝马6系则本末倒置地后推出了双门硬顶轿跑6 SERIES COUPE。全新的双门轿跑车型的车顶设计几乎是从去年发布的Concept 6 Series Coupe概念车上照搬过来的。即便如此,6系双门轿跑的车身侧面线条也依然很迷人,丝毫不比敞篷轿跑热度降低。与软顶敞篷版6系相同,硬顶版也有三款发动机可供选择,使用3.0L排量涡轮增压的640i和4.4L排量V8双涡轮增压
