通常在机械运行过程中,油封唇口的磨损随时间的推移逐渐加剧,当磨损量超过密封界限时,密封失效,油封泄漏。一般油封的泄漏量随机械运行时间的延长而增加。油封泄漏会直接影响机械性能,并使环境污染,润滑油损耗增加。因此,油封的泄漏量指标是评定油封质量和机械性能的重要指标,也是判定油封失效与否的依据。对于允许的油封泄漏量指标,世界上各工业国家以及同一国家的不同行业,其数值各不相同。目前,我国尚未制订出油封泄漏量的国家标准或行业标准。但在机械设备的性能指标及质量检查、维护保养工作中,油封的泄漏量是很重要的指标。当判定油封密封失效后,必须及时调换油封,以保证机械性能并使其安全可靠地运行。作者在工作中收集整理了一些工业国家油封标准中的泄漏量指标,供读者参考。其数值见附表。
