山西翼城历史悠久,遗存丰厚。特别是春节期间置身于此地,不仅时时感到民风古朴敦厚,而且处处闻听唐风舞韵缭绕。这里是已被现代考古和文献印证了的唐尧晋都故地。昔日先民们用石器陶器问鼎自然,创造出举世无双的农耕文明,用陶鼓石磬扣问苍穹,演奏出雷霆万钧降甘霖泽润万物的乐章《大章》,以“击壤而歌”、“百兽率舞”的舞情舞态抒写了对大自然的感恩及与人和谐的情怀。如愿如诉的《诗经·唐风》,用赋比兴的手法记录了这块土地上三千多年前,西周早期晋国民间歌舞活动的情景。
