民间神庙祭祀仪式,其主要目的在于祈福酬神、沟通人神交流,附带实现娱神娱人,神庙祭祀仪式的重要的内容之一是戏剧表演。陕北庙会戏剧表演按照其演出主体可分为两大类别,分别在不同场合进行表演。现代科技对艺术表演形式的干预以及传媒形式的不断变化,带来陕北庙会戏在演出场所等诸方面的变迁,同时给民间小戏的生存造成一定的威胁,需要通过各种形式对其予以挽救。
