近世蜀中学者王叔岷属于中国历史语言学派,其著述甚丰富,主要成就在文籍校订方面。其《诸子校证》、《左傅考校》、《庄子斠诠》与《史记斠证》最能体现在校勘古籍的成就,而其《斠雠学》则在德结校勘工作的缝验上形成系统理论,具有切实的指导意义。它对诸子中道家和法家的研究和对中国中古文学研究亦有所建树。他的治学具有历史语言学派的一些特点,又与该所的工作旨趣有相导之处,保持了自己的个性。
Wang Shumin, a middle school Shu scholars in the past, belongs to the Chinese history linguistics school. His writings are very rich. His main achievements are in the textbook revision.
