寿望斗同志所提出的練習本批改方法,虽然如寿望斗同志所說「可以提高工作效率,增加批改速度」但从家庭作業的作用与意义上看來「教師應当把家庭独立作業看作是我國青年腦力劳動文化發展的一种方法,也應当看作是培養性格底意志品質——正確性、目的性、坚决性、自發性、善於聽取对於自己缺點和錯誤的批評,和改正並清除缺點和錯誤的决心——的一种方法」,(凱洛夫教育学第五章第九節文中)与从寿同志的一段話「……把本子翻開來,題目找着來,就要浪費時間。而且,学生的練習本往往不很整潔,个別的甚至寫得一蹋糊涂,乱七八糟,看起来令人头昏脑脹!」对此之下顯然是对家庭作业的作用与意义認識不足,不僅不知道它足以培養学生的坚毅的性格,而且也没有認清通过作業的檢查,可以發現自己教学的缺點和錯誤,所以寿同志認为「这一种办法,和用其它方法批改練習本的方法一样……」真难想像批改「謄清」和批改「一蹋
