今年在以色列举行的国际生物化学联合会(IUB)全体代表大会上,通过了更改团体名称的提案。改名后的IUB正式称作国际生物化学和分子生物学联合会—The International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology(简称:IUBMB)。在这以前,美国和澳大利亚的生化学会,均已先后改名为“生物化学和分子生物学学会”,美国的一些生化系(实验室)也改名为“生物化学和分子生物学系(实验室)”。据悉,在国内,上海市生化学会也正式率先改名为上海市生物化学和分子生物学学会,
