1927年12月3日《北洋画报》刊出了一名国民党官员伸手要官的一封信的影印件.笔者读了,不由得感到吃惊.卖官买官自古就有;走门路,通关节,求取官职,也古已有之.但要官这种只能在背后干的勾当,用文字记录下来,并且公诸报端,恐怕是闻所未闻.《北洋画报》刊载上述影印件时,加了一个标题:《国民党人物求差使之一封书》.并介绍有关背景如下:此函乃奉军作战时,所获敌方函电之一种.系直隶国民党党部代表魏树鸿致晋军第二军军长杨爱源书.可以窥见所谓党员者,亦不过以猎官为务.而阎军内部之争执,亦可于函中窥见之.本报辗转从他方面觅得原函照片,特附刊于此.
