The first mathematics geology workshop for the Ministry of Oil Industry, prepared by the Coordination Group for Mathematical Geology of the Ministry of Oil Industry, was held at Yunnan University in Kunming from July 2 to August 21, 1984. A total of 85 participants from 34 units belonging to the Ministry of Petroleum Industry and 4 units outside the Ministry participated in the study. The main contents of the lectures are: practical probabilistic and mathematical statistics, multivariate data analysis, multivariate analysis of the program and its application examples in the realization of the computer, mathematical geology in the petroleum resources evaluation and geological survey
