第七届全国残疾人运动会是残疾人四年一度的节日,是残疾人体育运动的一次盛事。每一届运动会都印下了中国残疾人体育坚实前行的足迹,都与我们国家的改革开放同步、与中华民族的觉醒振兴共振。残疾人体育,应该是一个时代的另一种见证和诠释。第七届全国残疾人运动会是人类崇高精神的一次集中展示,也是人道主义理念的一次生动实践。体育运动特别是残疾人体育运动,能够最强烈地体现人类战胜自我、超越极限、追求完美、自强不息的精神,残疾人运动员用残缺的躯体或功能创造的每一个记录、定格的每一个瞬间,都将使人类的这种精神冉冉升华而达于至善。同时,残疾人体育运动也绝不仅只是对身躯和体能的突破,她所展现的特殊美感,她所蕴涵的特别魅力,必将赢得世人特殊的瞩目,必将带给社会特别的感召。残疾人运动会,应该是所有人参与的一道精神盛宴。第七届全国残疾人运动会的圣火在彩云之南盛开的鲜花中盛开,圣火不息,生命美丽。“情系云南,心手相牵”,本届运动会的主题口号传达出人们善良的诉求和美好的愿望,而本届运动会的吉祥物“祥祥”,那只漂亮的野生小象,它的“祥和”与“强壮”,也许正是今日中国、今日中国人民的共同心声与真实写照。五月的彩云之南,我们会经历什么……
The Seventh National Paralympic Games is a four-year festival for the disabled and a major event for the disabled.
