Objective To test and evaluate the acceptance of new nuclear medical workplaces in a hospital according to relevant national standards and to put forward radiological protection suggestions from the perspective of radiation protection optimization. Methods By field investigation and monitoring, 451P type X and γ dose rate meters were used to monitor the dose equivalency rate around the site. The surface contamination of the surface of workers and places was monitored by FH40G-FHZ742 surface contamination meter. The detection methods were based on the relevant national standards. Results The equivalent daily operation volume of 99mTc at this site was 7.4 × 107Bq, belonging to Class B unsealed source workplace. According to the test results of dose equivalence ratio around the site and the workload of the hospital, the highest equivalent dose of hand in the injection staff is 7.1mSv / a, and the surface contamination level of the treated site is 2.2Bq / cm2. Conclusion The site layout is reasonable, the annual dose and surface pollution levels are in line with the “basic standards for ionizing radiation protection and safety of radiation sources,” GB18871-2002 requirements. According to the individual dose test results reasonable arrangements for the adjustment of radionuclide operation and injection staff working hours.
