Before the meeting, Comrade Mao Tung gave me a briefing on the idea and purpose of convening this meeting. I very much agree. I also read the main document of the meeting, and the meeting opened well. Last year, the National Water Conservancy Conference studied and formulated the outline of China’s water conservancy reform and development in the 1990s and put forward the current requirements for deepening the water conservancy reform and focusing on the construction of the five major systems.
