Psychological research shows that punishment can play a positive role in stopping children from engaging in undesirable behaviors. Why is this? First let’s look at the definition of punishment. Reward and punishment are relative, in psychology, the reward and punishment are respectively called positive and negative reinforcement. The so-called positive reinforcement refers to a stimulus, increase it to increase the frequency of the reaction in front of this stimulus. Negative reinforcement, on the other hand, increases the stimulus thereby reducing the frequency of pre-stimuli responses. From the definition of punishment (negative reinforcement), the role of punishment is to suppress the frequency of some response. Children due to the constraints of their level of psychological development, learning, discrimination is right and wrong, memory and other capabilities are limited. After some wrong behavior to show him where the wrong, this phenomenon does not mean that children do not know
