Epithelial growth factor is a polypeptide substance that inhibits somatic cell secretion of gastric acid, increases gastric mucosal blood flow, and promotes the regeneration of damaged gastric mucosal cells. Experiments confirmed that: a dose of EGF subcutaneously to protect the role of gastric mucosa. Direct perfusion does not have this protective effect. Therefore, the route of administration is one of the most important determinants. It is speculated that the reason, the excitement of sympathetic stress, causing visceral vasoconstriction of the digestive system, mucosal blood flow decreased, gastric ischemia and hypoxia is an important cause of mucosal injury, EGF because of increased gastric mucosal blood flow; Enhance gastric mucosal cell resistance to gastric acid erosion; and according to gastric acid secretion and gastrin blood concentration decreased synchronously, it can be considered that the role of inhibition of gastric acid by inhibiting the secretion of gastrin caused. EGF as a prevention of stress ulcer drugs, has a good clinical application.
