1993年,江西21世纪出版社同我商量,要出版一部图文并茂的《画说<资本论>》。我当时认为,这个设想很好,但难度不小。主要困难是,马克思写《资本论》用的是从抽象到具体的方法,有些抽象范畴(如价值)不容易形象地表现出来。但我赞成他们大胆尝试。现在,经过顾海良、张钟朴等同志的三年苦心焦思,反复研究,在文图结合上下了很大功夫,终于把这个艰巨的工程完成了。我衷心敬佩
In 1993, Jiangxi 21st Century Publishing Co., Ltd. discussed with me to publish a series of pictures and captions “Capital Theory”. At that time, I thought that this idea was very good, but it was not too difficult. The main difficulty is that Marx wrote “capital theory” from abstract to concrete method, and some abstract categories (such as value) are not easily visualized. But I am in favor of their bold attempt. Now, after three years of painstaking work by Gu Hailiang, Zhang Zhongpu and other comrades, I have repeatedly studied and worked hard on combining the texts and finally completed this arduous project.
