The 400-meter semi-circular track currently used in domestic track competitions consists of two corners and two straight sections. The inner radius of the curve is 36 meters. The two curves have a total length of 228.08 meters. The two straight sections have a total length of 171.92 meters. The two curves are 51.16 meters longer than the two straight sections. Can be seen that the corner run in 200 meters, 400 meters full run occupies a very important position. Due to the different conditions of runways and straights, cornering techniques and straight-run techniques are not exactly the same. Therefore, as a good sprinter, not only should you master the skills of straight running, but also have the ability to learn how to run in corners. This needs to be based on the mechanics of curve run to explore and solve the technical problems in cornering to promote the continuous improvement of the technical level. In this paper, the mechanics principle, technical characteristics and teaching reform of cornering are discussed.
