传承中华美德,培养民族精神,对凝聚全民族的意志和力量,振奋民族精神,实现中华民族的伟大复兴具有极其重要的历史意义和现实意义。这是教育部部长陈至立同志,在今年3月一次座谈会的讲话中提出来的。陈至立同志要求各级各类学校要认真学习贯彻党的十六大精神,充分认识弘扬和培育民族精神的重要意义,把弘扬和培育民族精神作为加强思想道德建设和全面推进素质教育的一项重要任务,贯穿于学校教育的全过程,落实在学校教育的各个环节,采取有力措施,切实抓紧、抓好。要根据党的十六大精神,研究制定弘扬和培育民族精神教育的实施办法。要结合学校德育课程改革,充实和强化传统美德和民族精神教育;把传统美德和民族精神教育有机地渗透到各学科教学中去,纳入学生日常行为习惯和道德品质的培养过程 Inheriting the Chinese virtues and cultivating the national spirit are of extremely historical and practical significance for gathering the will and strength of the entire nation, boosting the national spirit and realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
