I heard that there are two young science teachers in the secondary schools of Tongtou County, Beijing, both in their twenties. A teaching chemistry, his class of students in 1977 the highest grades in rural chemistry in the county, 78 years of college entrance examination, 26 science candidates average 71 points in chemistry; the other to teach physics, his students last year in the county physics competition made The first, fourth place. After the Decade of “Cultural Revolution”, the level of culture and science of the younger generation was generally lowered. Why did these two young teachers achieve such a good result? I visited the school with joy and admiration. Drainage middle school, away from the county seat more than 60 years, is a remote rural high school. More than 700 students are mostly peasant children. The vast majority of teachers are young people. The average age of 35 teachers is only 29 years old, more than 4 years of teaching experience. Their education is very shallow, only one is a 69-year college graduates, the rest are high school, mid-career graduates and just graduated in recent years college students.
