《小学英语课程标准》在课程基本理念中提出:“语言既是交流的工具,也是思维的工具。”就工具性而言,英语课程承担着培养学生基本英语素养和发展学生思维能力的任务。因此,我们需在英语课堂教学过程中通过图片解读、故事材料和问题设置来发展学生的各种思维能力。
“Elementary English Curriculum Standard” put forward in the basic idea of curriculum: “Language is not only a tool of communication but also a tool of thinking.” In terms of instrumentality, English courses bear the task of developing students ’basic English accomplishment and developing students’ thinking ability . Therefore, we need to develop the students’ various thinking skills through picture interpretation, story materials and problem setting in English classroom teaching.
