锺繇,字元常,三国时期魏国大臣,生于东汉桓帝元嘉元年(公元151年),卒于魏明帝太和四年(公元230年)。他生活的年代正是汉魏更替的时代,亦是“新书风”在士大夫阶层逐渐兴起的时代。新书风是以真、行、草书的产生为特征,锺繇正是这一时期新书风的集大成者,兼善诸体,尤其是他楷书那“不和法度”、因字赋形、大小参差不一的书法意象正是锺繇书法风格的理想表现。而书法风格的艺术表达,又离不开其独到的技法
