湖北省仙桃市张沟镇双碾子村地处湖区,这里交通闭塞,土地贫瘠,曾是镇里有名的贫困村。1997年,该村集体负债高达78万元,农民纯收入不到1000元。农业效益的偏低,致使大量农民外出务工经商,全村撂荒地最多时达890亩,占全村耕地面积的25%。1998年以来,在财政部门的大力扶持下,该村选准致富路子,大力发展养鳝业,村级经济由此得到了迅猛发展。
Zhangcun Town, Xiantao City, Hubei Province, is located in the double-roller sub-village in Lake District, where traffic congestion, barren land, once the town’s famous poor village. In 1997, the village collective debt as high as 780,000 yuan, net income of farmers less than 1,000 yuan. The low agricultural benefit has caused a large number of peasants to go out for business and work. The most wasteland in the whole village reaches 890 mu, accounting for 25% of the cultivated land of the village. Since 1998, with the vigorous support of the financial sector, the village has chosen to get rich and make vigorous efforts to develop an eel industry. As a result, the village-level economy has seen rapid development.
