This paper introduces the basic concepts of fault-related folds, analyzes the geology of the basin and field observations, and interprets the east-west seismic profiles that cross the Ordos Basin to prove the existence of fault-related folds. This provides a new way for the region to look for the trap of oil and gas structures.
