巴金先生曾给青少年朋友的一封信中说:“我们有一个丰富的文学宝库,那就是多少代作家留下的杰作,它们教育我们,鼓励我们,要我们变得更好,更纯洁,更善良,对别人更有用。文学的目的就是要人变得更好。”由此可见,欣赏文学作品,在青少年的成长过程中起着深远的作用,它潜移默化地提高了中学生的理解能力、鉴赏能力,它积累了年轻人的文化底蕴、处世经验,它还能激发新一代的创造思维、进取精神。所以,每一个中学语文教师的最大责任莫过于在有限的课时里,凭着一份诚挚与兴趣、和着慢慢升华的知识与感悟,和同学们一起欣赏文学,而后领略与完善人生。但文学名著不像报刊杂志,人人一看就懂,尤其对涉世较浅的中学生来说,欣赏文学作品有一定的难度。
