当改革开放的春风吹拂中华大地，我国所有的医疗机构都不可避免的经受着市场经济的洗礼，在这股浪潮的冲击下，海口市人民医院曾经有过困惑、迷茫甚至滑坡……一九九四年十月，以著名神经外科专家史克珊为院长的新一届领导班子走马上任，从此，具有百年历史的海口市人民医院传奇般地开始了她的新生。如今，五年过去了，昔日的边陲小医院已变成一座现代化的医疗新城。该院先后荣获国家卫生部“三级甲等”医院、海南省“五佳”医院、海南省文明单位、海南省“执行物价计量法规政策”最佳单位等荣誉称号。让我们走进海口市人民医院，去领略这所百年老院的今日风采。
