2013年,得益于某基金会的支持,由中法当代艺术界领军人物组成的评审委员会在众多申请者中甄选优秀青年艺术家,毕业于中央美院版画系的鞠婷脱颖而出,并获得一笔创作基金,在驻地进行了两个月的创作,创作期间她享有一间工作室,在原中法大学这座具有中法两国文化交流渊源的古老建筑中汲取灵感,进行当代的创新。鞠婷在驻地延续了她自本科毕业以来一直思索、实践的创作脉络,在木板上用丙烯颜料上色,待一层颜色完全干透以后,再上新的一层颜色,如此往复,一块木板上一层层覆盖了七八层甚至十几层不同的颜色肌理。她用刻刀在丙烯颜料上划开,形成抽象而色彩线条斑斓的作品。
