离体原头蚴经1%甲苯咪唑药液处理48小时死亡率为50.4%,经152小时,原头蚴全部死亡,对照组死亡率为34%。用O.5%甲苯咪唑悬液对阳性小鼠进行腹腔注射2ml/天,共12次,腹腔内棘球蚴全部萎陷,角皮层变性,生发层坏死,周围有细胞反应。用甲苯咪唑1g/kg饲料(近似50mg/kg bw/d)喂感染棘球蚴小鼠60天、100天,疗效均不彻底,在囊团内有残存活囊。用甲苯咪唑3g/kg饲料(近似150mg/kg bw/d)喂100天,20只鼠腹腔棘球蚴全部萎陷崩溃、囊壁变性坏死,周围有细胞反应。国产甲苯咪唑对动物棘球蚴及原头蚴有直接致死作用。疗效与药量和饲期有关。
