在介绍企业形象策划的中文书籍中,常见的主要有CI和CIS两种提法。CI即CorporateIdentity的缩写,中文直译为“企业识别”;CIS即Corporate Identity System,译为“企业识别系统”。鉴别二者并无本质的不同,通常在使用的时候,就一律采用CI的提法,并谓之“企业形象识别”。CI的定义与含义不同的学者和企业家对于CI定义的说法都不尽相同,至今仍未有简洁明了并被公认的解释。但是大家都遵循了这样一条原则:“CI就是通过统一的整体传达系统将企业文化外化为企业形象的过程。”

CI is the acronym of Corporate Identity, Chinese literally translated as “Corporate Identity”; CIS that Corporate Identity System, translated as “Enterprise Identity System.” Identification of the two is not essentially different, usually when in use, they will always use the CI's reference, and that “corporate image recognition ”. The definition and meaning of CI scholars and entrepreneurs have different definitions of CI, so far there is no concise and accepted explanation. However, everyone follows the principle that “CI is the process of externalizing a corporate culture to a corporate image through a unified, holistic communication system.” "
