宝钢轧机主传动电机全为西门子、BBC、日立等公司的产品,它们虽仍以直流电机为主,但已开始采用西门子公司提供的交交变频供电、矢量控制的交流传动,代表了当前轧钢电机的发展方向。所用直流电机全为可控硅供电,F级、甚至H级绝缘,尽量系列化和通用化以提高互换性。由于这些公司的精心设计,取用了许多新结构、新材料,使电机具有较高的经济技术指标,代表了70年代未、80年代初的世界先进水平,为提高我国电机制造水平、发展轧钢生产提供了榜样。
