‘老极品’(金奖)蕙兰“新八种”之一,绿蕙梅瓣名品。清光绪辛丑年(1901年)由杭州公诚花园冯长金选出。叶质厚硬,叶姿斜立,叶长40cm～55cm,宽1cm～1.2cm,从叶柄至中幅略有叶沟,中幅到叶尾又逐渐平展,叶脉透亮。花苞短阔呈浅绿色,花蕾出土后就裂开。花莛高40cm～50cm,花梗粗壮浅绿光洁,着花8朵～13朵不等,花朵间距小不够疏朗。外三瓣头圆,紧边,瓣肉厚,两副瓣平肩拱抱绽放,瓣端起兜呈匙形,花色浅翠绿;分窠半硬兜捧心,捧瓣有时也分头合背:唇瓣为大龙吞舌,舌面红点鲜明。花容端庄,骨力持久,美中不足是花朵拥挤影响观赏。老极品花苞出土后花蕊就开嘴裂开,浇水或洒水应特别注意不要让水珠进入花蕾,以免花苞腐烂。

Flower graceful, long-lasting strength, the fly in the ointment is the impact of crowded flowers viewing. Old Needle buds after opening up stamen open mouth split, watering or sprinkling should pay special attention not to let the waterdrops into the bud, so as to avoid bud decay.
