In order to control the occurrence of plastic shrinkage cracks, a method of adding polypropylene fibers to fresh concrete or mortar was adopted. Tests have shown that the addition of 0-05% and 0-10% (by volume) of polypropylene fibers to the mortar can reduce the cracks in mortar slabs by 65% and 75%, respectively
