第三届国际土壤分类讨论会于1980年4月14日至23日在叙利亚和黎巴嫩召开。参加会议的有叙利亚、苏丹、沙特阿拉伯、伊拉克、黎巴嫩、摩洛哥、约丹、科威特、阿曼、突尼斯、意大利、比利时、法国、荷兰、匈亚利等国家的代表。会后不久,于1980年5月在希腊首都雅典召开了贯彻会议(follow-up meeting),对本届讨论会和今后的活动作了进一步的评述。 本届讨论会由波多黎各大学发起,并由阿拉伯干旱、半干旱地区研究中心(ACSAD)共同主持。会议得到了叙利亚农业与土地改良部和叙利亚幼发拉底河流域开发总部的合作。
The 3rd International Soil Taxonomy Symposium was held in Syria and Lebanon from April 14 to April 1980. The participants were Syria, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Lebanon, Morocco, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Tunisia, Italy, Belgium, France, Netherlands, Hungary and other countries. Shortly after the meeting, a follow-up meeting was held in Athens, the capital of Greece, in May 1980, giving further comments on the seminar and future activities. The seminar was initiated by the University of Puerto Rico and co-chaired by the Arab Center for Arid and Semi-Arid Regions Studies (ACSAD). The meeting was supported by Syria’s Ministry of Agriculture and Land Improvement and Syria’s Development Headquarters for the Euphrates basin.
