On May 14, 2007, Premier Wen Jiabao made an impromptu speech to teachers and students at the School of Architecture and Urban Planning at Tongji University, in which he said that there is hope for some people in the nation who are concerned about the sky. In the People’s Daily, Wu Song-jin, a musician, saw Premier Wen’s poem “Looking up to the Starry Sky” and felt that this poem is far-reaching and full of philosophical enlightenment. What is even more gratifying is that poetry is short in length, refined in words and sentences, and the structure of the passage is well-structured and clearly understood. It is in line with the requirements of lyrics and is suitable for composing music. So there will be this song, melody became, welcomed by the majority of students, quickly sung in various colleges and universities.
