1986年1月2日,一位名叫刘安民的重庆国营空气压缩机厂十二车间的工人,给四川美术学院陈列馆寄来一封信。上面讲的是他看了1985年川美学生自选作品展的感想,开头这样写到:“昨日从美院回来,心情久久不能平静。令人眼花缭乱的学生自选作品展,反映了当代大学生勤于思考、勇于探索的精神。纵观历次美术作品展,没有哪一次像这次这样新颖突破,富于时代个性。”——引自1986年1月2日四川美术学院呈送文化部的情况报告
