最近几年来,在国外的工艺过程自动化的领域中,出现了一系列很有价值的想法,但是,金属加工设备的组合化对机械制造工艺仍具有特别深远的意义。金属加工设备的组合化有三个主要方向:在组合机床及组合机床自动线上进一步提高工序的集中程度;扩大组合机床的工艺可能性,使其完成以前不能完成的加工工序;建立多品种加工和快速重调整的组合机床,使中、小批生产中的零件制造过程能够自动化。
