The 862 classes are “The Basic Skills for Young Teachers” and the “Exploration Lessons for Curriculum Reform” that were taken for the full training of Shanghai education workers. Each subject has 19 sections. These lessons focused on the understanding and practice of Shanghai primary and secondary school teachers in the second phase of Shanghai’s curriculum reform. They are an important resource for carrying out teacher education in 2007. In this issue, we presented the practice of class observation and evaluation of 862 classes for some famous teachers’ training and study groups in Shanghai in the form of “cases”.
