1999年开始了。 我们意识到:九十年代已近尾声;中国改革开放已经20年;我们将迎来祖国50岁的生日;波澜壮阔的20世纪就要落下帷幕,人类将跨入新的世纪和新的千年。我们正处在百年之交和千年之交的界点上,处在一个个具有特殊意义的历史阶段的界标之前,一段段历史值得我们回顾与总结,其中某些带规律性的东西,值得我们思考和探讨。 千年历史且不去说,近百年历史对我们来说并不十分遥远和陌生。20世纪百年的中国美术有待于我们作一番认真的梳理和思考。这是一个从古典向现代捩转的阶段,是新旧时代交替、中西交汇的时期。从生产关系到社会制度,从科学技术到意识形态,都发生了重大的甚至根本性的变化。美术作为一个艺术门类,作为人类文化的一部分,是伴随着时代的脚步向前发展的。
It started in 1999. We are aware that the late 1990s have come to an end. China has enjoyed 20 years of reform and opening up. We will celebrate the 50th birthday of our motherland. The grand twentieth century will come to an end and mankind will step into a new century and a new millennium. We are at the threshold of the turn of the century and the turn of the millennium. Prior to the landmark of a special historical stage, a period of history deserves our review and conclusion. Some of the things that have regularities deserve our Think and explore. Not to mention the Millennium History, nearly a century of history is not very far and strange to us. Chinese art of the 20th century, a century to be done some serious combing and thinking. This is a transition from the classical era to the modern one. It is a period in which the old and the new alternate, and the East meets the West. From the relations of production to the social system, from science and technology to ideology, major and even fundamental changes have taken place. Art as an art category, as part of human culture, is accompanied by the development of the times.
