The investigation of methane oxidative coupling (MOC) reactionover a series of alkaline-earth fluoro-oxides model catalysts indicated that theCH_4 conversion and C_2 selectivity over fluoro-oxide catalysts are apparentlyhigher than those over pure oxide or pure fluoride catalysts. The XRD charac-terization of fluoro-oxide model catalysts indicated that F~-, O~(2-) exchangemight happen.
