树根的颜色是多彩的,十分美妙。以致有许多作者认为根艺品应原原本本地保持根的质朴本色,才能在色彩上体现树根的天然美,极力否定对根进行变色处理;又有些人认为根艺的表现主要在形体上,对于树根的色彩美仅作为一种无关紧要的因素来处置。笔者也常见到一些根艺品,无论从素材上看,还是在造型技巧与构思的角度上揣摩,都给人耳目一新、别具一格的感受,仅因在色彩上处理失当,给人的第一感觉就是“失调”。
