轮胎是汽车中最重要的部件之一。汽车整车的一些重要性能,如动力性、安全性、经济性、操纵稳定性、通过性、舒适性等都直接和轮胎的负荷性能、高速性能、动态特性、静态特性、耐磨耗性、耐扎性、噪声和振动性能等有关,而轮胎的性能又取决于它的结构、材料、气压、花纹等因素。随着汽车工业技术的进步及道路条件的改善,汽车行驶的速度不断提高,汽车的安全性和舒适性已摆到了相当重要的位置,现轮胎正向着扁平方向、子午线方向和无内胎方向发展。为此,要求汽车设计者对轮胎的结构、材料、花纹、性能及与汽车整车性能有关系的轮胎发展趋势有个比较深入的了解。本文拟介绍美国轮胎的发展趋势及为了提高轮胎的牵引性,在轮胎的胎面花纹结构上所采取的措施等。
Tires are one of the most important parts in a car.
