《乌云》是福尔斯的中短篇小说集《乌木塔》(1974)的尾篇:一个骄阳似火的夏日,几个英国人带着孩子在法国中部的郊外进行野炊,他们之间的关系包括夫妻、情人、友人、亲人、或者对手等。其中,凯瑟琳是一位知识女性,正在编辑巴特的《神话学》英译本,而以保尔和彼得为代表的男性,却攻击她为劣等的她者。她躲在不为人知的角落,为外甥女爱玛讲述童话故事《睡美人》。该小说以凯瑟琳的失踪结束,而尾声中不详的乌云则为该作带来无限神秘与未知。细读文本,不难发现在叙事情节方面,该故事有深刻的艾力留克情节,只不过置身后现代语境下,福尔斯对之进行了降格模仿。
“Dark Clouds” is the end of Falcon’s short and long story collection “The Ebony Tower” (1974): On a sunny summer day, a few British people carry their children to a picnic on the outskirts of central France. Between them Relationships include couples, lovers, friends, relatives, or rivals. Among them, Catherine is a knowledgeable woman, is editing Bart’s “mythology” English translation, and Paul and Peter as the representative of the men, but she is inferior to attack her. She hides in an unknown corner, tells the story of a fairy tale “Sleeping Beauty” for her niece, Emma. The novel ended with the disappearance of Catherine, and the dark cloud at the end of the story brought boundless mystery and uncertainty to the work. Read the text, not difficult to find in the narrative plot, the story has a profound Elikuke plots, but exposure to postmodern context, Falls was downgraded imitation.
