美术教育改革,必须适应现代化建设的需要,必须与科技生产力结合,必须为国家的物质文明建设发挥应有的作用。而这种改革首先应该是美术及美术教育观念的改革,要彻底打破以审美为主导、以绘画技能为基础的美术教学体系,让美术充分发挥自身的优势,在回归现实生活中。那么,该怎样重新认识美术的含义,重新确定美术教育的意义呢?我认为美术是一种美化生活,创造生活,设计生活的科学,是人类在创造物质的同时赋与物质以美好理想的一种创造劳动,它即是一种物质生产方式也是一种精神生产方式,它在满足人类物质需要的同时满足人类的精神需要。
